This is week number four since testing positive for that super flu. I was one of them essential workers doing my job. Cashier I’m not mentioning the store because they’re still confirming positive cases. But yeah just working and washing my hands and coming home taking my COVID showers and drinking tea. That was the routine when this pandemic first began. I was well even with the few positive cases that were found in that store. I get my clearance to return to work. I did not have to retest and not one time did I step foot inside the Doctor office. I did telemedicine the day after I took the test because I was sent home from work with chills. I did not have a fever. I got my antibiotic and was told to quarantine for 14 days. Now I don’t live alone so I’m putting my partner who suffers from asthma at risk. It doesn’t help that she works with staff and children. We got through it. Only for me to return to work only 3 days after Doctor clearance to the same level of mess. No soap in the bathroom bigger crowds and finding out more people are out because of COVID. It made my stress level soar! That meant more work for me when I’m not even 100 in health. The manager call me in on my day off as well. I had to let it go!! I quit that job about 5 hours before my shift started back to school I go because that retail life isn’t for me. Profit over people I’m good.
